Melanie, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | fr-2 | ga-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen

The profiles of Jonathan Badcock/Babcock, clearly state do not merge until the LNAB is established. How have you established this final last name, there is no source noted on the profile, and you completed this merge?

Hi Melanie

Congratulations on your Pre-1700 Self-Certification! Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Or you're interested in a particular time period, location, or topic ? Let me know. I can help you figure out if any Projects fit your interests and introduce you to the Leaders.

Projects are a great way to collaborate on your ancestors' profiles and learn the naming conventions and other standards used for profiles from particular places and time periods.

Have you read Research Before Editing? The Sources Style Guide is also essential reading for working on pre-1700 profiles.

Have fun

I've been searching some time for information about Sarah Amanda Knight, my great-grandmother, and hadn't found a thing until I came upon your work. I have later information: She married Terry Axley Mercer in Missouri in 1888 (name on marriage record is Amanda Knight), and they had several children including Elmo, Beulah Marie (my grandmother, who marked Asa Everette Sanner), and Naomi. They lived in Colorado, though Naomi inexplicably was born in Oregon (1902). So excited! --Patricia

Sorry Melanie - I've given you all I know about Rebecca, wife of both John ERRINGTON and Thomas Bancroft.

All contributions made by me are made in part by firsthand knowledge but primarily through a variety of documentation I have found and from other's research. Some information is assumed as much as research and is subject to change. I try to enter, by link if applicable, all of my sources. The fewer sources I have, the less solid the connection is. Please follow up with any information to verify sources and if you find discrepancies, please let me know. These are my ancestors, too, and I would like it to be as accurate as possible.

I have added some profiles, as I come to them, for non-family. Specifically, people living in the household of my ancestors such as boarders and "other." I do this for the benefit of any descendents of those folks, as well as a possible addition to the story of my ancestors. If one of these people is your ancestor, please let me know.

Thank you everyone! Happy Hunting!!
